The 1953 (or 54) Dodge at the Christmas tree farm with a 241 cu.in. Hemi.

The motor in the car.
.

Another motor in the car picture.

Bill came down to help. He can't believe what we're about to do.

We rip away the fenders as my dad's friend Harvey sucks on a cigar and watches.

We had to dig under it to get more leverage.

The motor is free of the frame.

We hooked up a winch to a tree to drag the motor up into Harvey's pickup.

Bill using a pry bar to add leverage.

My dad and his treasure.

What's left of the car. With the fenders and firewall gone, the roof collapsed onto the rest.

My dad and I took the motor back to my place to break it down. I didn't have a garage at the time, so we
did all we could in the back of my truck.

CJ in his favorite place. Once we had the motor all apart and cleaned, we stored it on my porch until my
dad could get it back home. He was in the area on business when we did this.
