Garage Floor Cracks

When they finished the garage wall, I decided to do something about the cracks in the garage floor. There were a few spots created by their work, but most of it was natural settling and cracking. I had picked up some Quickcrete crack filler and liesurely started filling in the cracks when I had time.  Not until we had four days of rain did I realize this crack issue was serious.

The first day the rain poured like mad for a few hours. After some time, the water started to trickle its way into the one garage bay. Not a big deal. Just some run-off. After four days of it raining like mad, the ground has become so saturated, it's seeping (almost rushing actually) up through the cracks in the floor.  At first when I saw all the water in the garage, I thought it had run in like the first day. Upon further inspection I could see the water was actually running out of the garage. It's source was this crack near the headwall of the garage.

It came out of the crack in the floor, then ran down along the wall.  I honestly don't know if I'll ever
completely fix it. I'll put filler in the cracks that are big enough, but I guess some kind of seal coat over the
entire floor would be the only complete fix.

This is a crack in our "workroom" in the basement. The scary thing is to to think about what other cracks
there may be under the carpet in the rest of the basement.

Little by little I've been working on the crack. I pour in some Quickcrete crack filler. Let it dry a day or so,
then pour in more. It keeps seeping down the crack to who knows where. It's probably slowly seeping into
the watertable and clogging up my well. I got a little smart the other day and poured some sand in first.
That seemed to fill it up some before the filler went in. It's a long and slow process that I'd like to end soon.
I'm tired of my garage being all torn apart so I can get to the crack.
