3/30/08 Back to the trim project. We have a week off and plan to finish it (most of it at least).

3/31/08 All I could manage today was turning our nice closet doors into the temporary plastic variety. Hopefully tomorrow there will be some casings around these.

4/1/08 Jen is making all kinds of progress. We took down our pantry doors to paint the same color as all our other new doors. First she had to do a little sanding.

Then it was time for the Killz primer.

I was able to get some trim up. Not nearly as much as I would have liked or as well, but it's up.

Wednesday afternoon my parents showed up and got right to work. Instantly progress went from slow and painful to fast and furious. My Dad started with removing some of the old remaining trim.

While my mom set out filling nail holes.

The next task for my Dad was to start hanging doors. He hung six in all. He cut the hinges and hung them, while I cut the holes for the hardware, then Jen primed and painted.

Though these are still the pantry doors from before. The priming and painting (two coats) of the doors take a while.

Viola! The first door.
