Stowe, VT Vacation - Glen Falls
Oct. 22, 2008

Not far from the house was another hike, but this one had a waterfall.

It was kind of rainy and the trail a bit treacherous, but we hiked up (and helped an older couple do the same) to see it.

The hike up and down was kind of short, so we decided to make it all more interesting and actually hike up the stream to the base of the falls.

It was up this cool little ravine.

How could we not check it out?

Closer now.

CJ needed a lot of assistance over the slippery rocks and log-overs, but he was enjoying it just the same.

Ah! The base of the falls.

This was looking downstream.

I found a taller trickier rock to climb too. Gretchen made it there with me, but generally everyone preferred the easier rocks downstream.

Dogs and owner happy to be hanging together in the middle of the stream.

It's amazing the places dogs will go when coerced with treats.

Wonder if you can get a kid through Harvard that way?
